Email marketingWhere as content marketing is the new kid on the block – email marketing is that creepy old geezer that lives in the bungalow at the end of the street, he gets in the way in the post office, never has his change ready at the bus stop and is probably about to get himself a mobility scooter. He is annoying and old school.

But at Knife Box we still love him – he”s a WWI veteran with some great stories to tell and still has a lot to offer.

In the digital and mobile world we are all struggling to get peoples attention and email marketing is a really effective way of doing that  – especially if it’s done well and there is a science behind email marketing that can seem a bit complicated but is actually a whole lot of common sense. Admittedly with a whole lot of numbers and percentages – but nothing too scary.

So don’t be baffled by click through rates, open rates, post click behaviour, spam filters – remember what you’re trying to do here. That is to get someones attention.

Firstly, that means a good snappy subject line that is relevant to them.
